Kahvisaukon kahvitauko

//Phew. Once again I’m sorry for the not-so-frequent updates, but I’ve been a bit busy lately and still am. / On top of the tight scheduled schoolwork I’ve had to plan the republishing of the Escorter so the pages etc. / Oh by the way! So I went to meet one of the guys from Seitti so we could go through the material I had, which wasn’t much.. “I’m no good…” / Luckily Janne was very understanding “Looking good. And you don’t need to change it all that much. Don’t take any pressure”//

//Through this encouragement I managed to plan in total of 13 pages in the train on my way to Tampere and a couple more later. So I’m starting to reach the end on planning and according to my math the new Escorter will have at least 10 pages more to it/ My plans are at such a good spot I dare to say this comic might make it to the Tampere Kulpii(a Finnish comic festival)! Unless of course there would be some unpredictable delays… / On a sidenote here I’m taking part in Team Pärvelö’s (a Finnish group of comic artists) anthology called Gaijin, which will also be sold in Kuplii! / Oh! And someone made this review podcast thingie about the Escorter. This guy makes also other good comic involving podcasts so check it out! Link to the one about the Escorter is under this page.//

Juu, eli ei vielä uutta kokeilevaa sarjakuvaa. Olen ottanut hiukan rennosti viime aikoina, mutta kohta puoliin yritän saada seuraavan aikaiseksi. Yksi toinen asia, joka vei aikaani oli poikaystävän synttärit, koska piirsin hänelle kirjanmerkkejä, joita on ohessa

Juu eipäs näköjään tullutkaan päiviteltyä joka toinen päivä, kun stressi töistä ja valintakokeista otti hiukan enemmän kuin arvelin. No oli siinä laiskuudenkin kanssa tekemistä :y

Joka tapauksessa seuraava kokeileva sarjis on ollut tuloillaan jo jonkin aikaa ja jatkoin sitä tässä tänään. Saan sen huomiseksi, jos jaksan tehdä sitä ja minulla tulee tässä muutenkin hiukan lomaa juhannuksen ansiosta, että enköhän pysty hiukan päivittelemään.

Mutta ei nyt pidetä tätä ihan tekstipohjaisena päivityksenä, vaan tässä jotain sarjakuvaakin

Eli päätin tänä kesänä pitää itseni yhä kiireisenä sarjisten parissa. Aluksi olisin lähtenyt työstämään pidempiä sarjakuviani, mutta ne eivät ole vielä valmiita piirrettäviksi, joten päätin sen sijaan aloittaa tällaisten kokeellisten sarjakuvien sarjan.

Pointtina on siis, että jokaisessa sarjakuvassa on jotain erilaista, jotain jota en ole vielä aikaisemmin uskaltanut tai vain tullut kokeilleeksi. Yritän siis rikkoa tämän avulla mahdollisimman monta seinää :)

En ole vielä varma teenkö deadlinea, kun ideoitakin on vasta kourallinen, mutta teen näitä ainakin joka toinen päivä, että saan pidettyä itseni kiireisenä.

Tämän kyseisen sarjakuvan perustana oli siis kokeilla realistisen suttuista tyyliä lyijykynällä, kahvilla ja vedellä laimennetulla musteella. Juonessahan ei ole varsinaisesti mitään, sillä se ei ollut tässä tarkoituksena. Tulen kuitenkin varmasti tekemään siihenkin liittyviä sarjiksia!

Ja tässä vielä pari luonnosta, kun kokeilin tekniikkaa:
