Tää on vähän jo myöhässäkin, kun sain idean vasta niin myöhään… Tarkotus oli tehdä sellanen vähän niinkun parodia retro-scifi-juliste, mut en sit oikeen ymmärtänyt miltä sen pitäisikään näyttää ja ei se sit toiminutkaan… Mutta halusin jollain vähän mainostaa sitä, että aion kuitenkin jatkaa sarjista, vaikkei siitä ookaan ilmestyny lisää vähään aikaan. Olen tosin aloittanut kuvakäsiksen, että on siinä jotain!

This is even a bit late, since I got the idea so late… This was supposed to be a sort of a parody from retro-scifi posters, but in the end I didn’t really get what it was supposed to look like and then it didn’t work… But I wanted to somehow advertise the fact that I am still on with the comic even if there hasn’t been any pages for a while. I have already started the storyboard though so that’s something!//

Tämä on niin sanottu Takontti-lehti, joka kyseisessä osassa esittelee meidät ja paikat, josta meidät löytää netistä. Se on siis vähän niin kuin käyntikortti, mutta sarjakuvan muodossa ja sitä jaetaan ilmaiseksi. Värillisiä kopioita on todella pieni määrä, että tule hakemaan omasi ennen kuin viedään käsistä!

Saattajan hinta on tosiaan 10 euroa ja sitä myydään Takontin ja Seitin pöydissä. Takontin pöydästä jaan tosin nimmareita ja pikku tuherruksia ;) Jos et pääse Tre Kupliiseen myyn niitä myös sen jälkeen blogissani. Jotkut jälleenmyyjät tosin myy niitä myös ja yritän saada niitä akateemiseen tai muualle, mutta tällä hetkellä osaan varmaksi  sanoa blogistani ja luultavasti sen on tätä kautta myös halvin.

Mutta vaikket mitään ostaisikaan, tule edes moikkaamaan! Olen siellä suurimman osan päivästä Takontin pöydässä la-su, joten jos on ikinä kiinnostanut tavata minua (ellet ole jo) niin nyt on tilaisuutesi!

//This is a so called Takontti -booklet, which in this particular versionpresents us and where we can be found on the Internet. So it’s like a business card except in comic form and it will be  obtainable free. There’s a very small amount of the color copies so come get yours before they run out!

The Escorter’s price is 10 euros and it will be sold at the Takontti and Setti tables. At the Takontti table though I’ll be handing out signatures with small drawings ;) If you’re unable to arrive at the Tampere comic festival I will sell these in this blog after that. Some retailers will sell this as well, but the most certain one is this blog, where it’s propably the cheapest too.

And even if you’re not buying anything, at least come say hi! I’ll be at the Takontti table for the most time from Saturday to Sunday so if you’ve ever been interested in greeting me (or have already) this is your chance!//

//Phew. Once again I’m sorry for the not-so-frequent updates, but I’ve been a bit busy lately and still am. / On top of the tight scheduled schoolwork I’ve had to plan the republishing of the Escorter so the pages etc. / Oh by the way! So I went to meet one of the guys from Seitti so we could go through the material I had, which wasn’t much.. “I’m no good…” / Luckily Janne was very understanding “Looking good. And you don’t need to change it all that much. Don’t take any pressure”//

//Through this encouragement I managed to plan in total of 13 pages in the train on my way to Tampere and a couple more later. So I’m starting to reach the end on planning and according to my math the new Escorter will have at least 10 pages more to it/ My plans are at such a good spot I dare to say this comic might make it to the Tampere Kulpii(a Finnish comic festival)! Unless of course there would be some unpredictable delays… / On a sidenote here I’m taking part in Team Pärvelö’s (a Finnish group of comic artists) anthology called Gaijin, which will also be sold in Kuplii! / Oh! And someone made this review podcast thingie about the Escorter. This guy makes also other good comic involving podcasts so check it out! Link to the one about the Escorter is under this page.//

//A small publishing group called Seitti (Web/Cobweb) contacted me via email. They said they liked my stuff and wanted some publishing material. / They could for instance publish the existing Escorter, which would be great! But I agree that it needs little changes. / I just feel like a little girl. It’s hard to imagine that my work is actually going to be published. Somehow I just don’t feel it’s possible…/ But I guess I just have to dare to make that big step…//

Tai tuo “pienkustannuyhtiö” lienee jo hiukan virheellinen, kun ainakin sanoivat olevansa jo enemmän isolla puolen esimerkiksi sarjisfestareilla. My bad.

Elikkäs vihdoin saatiin uusintapainokset kasaan. Tulosteet on aavistuksen huonompia kuin ekat tulosteet, printterinrailoja ja hiukan suttuja ja sivut ovat aavistuksen pienemmät, mutta vielä ihan luettavissa. Mutta parhaat versiot myydään ekana, että olkaahan nopeita!
